EVENT MANAGEMENT

  • Project management of the launch of Montecasino’s new outdoor Piazza for 1 000 people in April 2007.
  • Complete co-ordination of the Chefs Village at Hostex on behalf of the South African Chefs Association in 2003, 2004 and 2005;
  • Co-ordination of numerous culinary competitions involving extensive logistical arrangements, including the national trials to select members of Team South Africa;
  • Management of the logistical arrangements for the South African National Culinary Team’s participation in the Culinary Olympics in Germany in 2004 and Food & Hotel Asia in Singapore in 2006 and the Olympics in Germany in 2008;
  • Co-ordination of a number of gala dinners and banquets on behalf of the South African Chefs Association, including its 30th anniversary celebrations in 2004 and a dinner for the National Culinary Team in Hermanus which involved the construction and management of a specially designed kitchen on a central stage at a venue in Hermanus;
  • Co-ordination of the training schedule of the National Culinary Team in preparation for the Olympics in 2004 and 2008, which included the co-ordination of a Roadshow to Johannesburg and Cape Town, with sold-out events in both cities;
  • Management of the Whale Festival Theatre of Food in Hermanus in 2004, involving the build-up of specially constructed kitchens in the old library and complete management of the programme of demonstrations for the three days of the Festival.
